About Us

The Milton Music Teachers’ Association (MMTA) was founded in 1971 by a group of eight dedicated music teachers. Today, this not-for-profit association represents more than 40 music teachers from a range of disciplines including piano, instrumental, vocal and theory, in Milton and surrounding Halton communities.  For current list, click here.  For more information, email info@mmta.ca.

  • To encourage and inspire one another as teachers and musicians and to provide opportunities to teachers for professional development.
  • To extend local performance opportunities to all of our students by way of monthly MMTA recitals and the Biennial Milton Music Festival.
