The Milton Music Teachers Association is hosting an All-Star Concert in celebration of their
50th Anniversary on Friday May 5, 2023 at 7:00pm in the Mattamy Theatre at the First
Ontario Arts Centre Milton. Auditions for this event are being held Sunday April 23 at Hugh
Foster Hall.
Entry Rules:
1. You must be available Sunday, April 23, 2023, for the audition; Friday, May 5, 2023
from 3:00-5:00pm for a dress rehearsal; and Friday, May 5, 2023 at 6:30pm for the
concert. Formal attire is required.
2. Application form and payment for this concert must be received by Monday, March
20, 2023
3. Audition fee is $15 for a maximum of 5 minutes or $30 for a maximum of 10 minutes.
This includes entering the room, set up, performing and exiting. Please prepare for
your audition by timing your piece(s) carefully.
4. You may perform one or more pieces during your scheduled audition; however, only
one solo piece may be selected for the concert. The decision of the adjudicator is
final.
5. In order to secure your audition you must e-transfer your fees to treasurer@mmta.ca.
You will be notified of your audition time by Saturday April 8, 2023. Please indicate
in the e-transfer message the performer name to which the funds are being paid for.
6. Solos, duets, and trios must be memorized. Accompanists and larger ensembles may
use print music.
7. Concert tickets will be available from the First Ontario Arts Centre Milton box
office.
8. Parents are not permitted backstage. Supervision will be provided on the concert day.
9. Participation is limited to students of MMTA teachers.
10. Parents and students agree to allow images, interviews, and recording of students to
be used for promotional and archival purposes. Students may be identified by full
names accompanying images without specific permission.
